Questions about Going or calling abroad
How do I make calls when I’m abroad? If you’re dialling out of the country you’re visiting, you’ll need to enter an international calling code at the start of the number. Each country has its own code, starting with a +. For example, it’s +44 to call the UK, and +33 to call France. So instead of dialling 01632 960123, you’d call +44 1632 960123. Still having problems? In some countries the + doesn’t work, so try swapping it out for 00 (e.g. 0044 1632 960123, or 0044 7700 900123). And if that still doesn’t work, there are some places where you’ll need to swap the + for a specific code to dial out of the country.
