Questions about Understanding your bill

What do the details on my bill mean?

3 months no extra data charges
This is how we list Data Test Drive, which gives you three months of unlimited internet when you get a plan that includes internet.

Billed usage
This is the plan charge plus any extra costs from one of your bills (you’ll see your most recent bill by default in My Vodafone).

CFU
This stands for ‘call forward unconditional’, which is when you redirect all your incoming calls to another number (either mobile or fixed line). When you forward calls like this, we’ll either take the minutes from your allowance or charge you for them at our standard rates. It’s free to redirect to your voicemail, though.

CR
A credit to your account.

Payment administration charges
If you don’t pay by Direct Debit we charge you a bit more to cover our costs. This includes credit cards, cheques and cash.

Service charges
The basic monthly cost of providing your phone service, this includes your plan and any subscription services like insurance.

Inclusive allowance
What's included in your plan for no extra charge: normally a combination of calls, data and texts.

Unbilled usage
This means the costs for minutes, texts and data since your last bill which we haven’t charged you for yet. We’ll include it on your next bill as ‘billed usage’. It  may be up to 24 hours behind in the UK, or longer if you’re calling or travelling abroad.

Extra Usage charges
These are the costs for calls, texts and data not included in your plan.
This includes calls to 08 numbers, calling internationally and using your phone whilst abroad.
